MM

More Mandalas! The white on black was fun; I will probably color the other one.
This is one of those things that once you get going, it is hard to quit. I goofed on the last 2 rounds of the big one, but it doesn't really matter. Amie, this one is for you. :>)

New Home..

There is a wonderful shop in Round Rock,TX where 5 of my
fabric wall hangings found a new home.
Sandy Deli has a darling shop  at 2001 N. Mays, called Round Rock Interiors, where you can find many wonderful items for your home and garden.
I was happy to leave my wall hangings among such beautiful surroundings.
Be sure to stop in, say hello to Sandy, and take a look around.

Wisdom Circles

I have always loved Mandalas because they are not only beautiful to look at, but they usually have some
meaning behind them. When I saw the mini class on Wisdom Circles as part of the DirtyFootprintsStudio Series, I jumped on the chance to see what they had to say. The class is given by Dion Dior, as part of The" 21 Secrets" online workshop. My mandalas do not have any special meaning; only that I'm relaxing into the process of repetitive movements and choosing colors intuitively. No rhyme or reason to any of it; just making a thing of beauty. I am using watercolor paper so I can color them with paint if I feel so inclined. The ones here have been colored with Copics and Staedtler graphic pens. The pens are easier of course, but watercolor would be nice for some of the larger areas.
I guess if I wanted to add a meaning to these, it would have to be "peace" and "harmony".

Trying something new

This black and white design is on plexiglass; the black on one side, the white on the other.
I had planned to put it on top of another piece of painted plexi, but decided that they were
fighting each other. I think I will put the design over a taupe background, and use the painted piece
for another creation. Any thoughts?

Little Bliss List and Joy Jam

Today is Friday the 13th, but I'm still very joyful.
I have had a good week with several things to be thankful for.
1) A new experimental painting class.
2)All the beautiful blooming trees and flowers.
3)Hubby's help with an art project.
4)Birds singing their songs.
The bluebonnets are so gorgeous this year!
All the fields are full of flowers.
This picture was taken right here in the neighborhood.
If you want more joy and bliss go here or here
and bless your day.

WOYWW

Today is the day everyone shows what they have been working on. There are many "desks" over at
Julie's site. Go take a look if you need some inspiration. I took a little class called "Credit Card Flowers" by
Martha Lever. It is a fun and quick way to paint flowers. I practiced on a big sheet of watercolor paper;

some of them turned out nicely, and I will cut them out and use them on a card

Yikes, I needed the Geek!!

I'm a little behind because of technical issues, but I'm sure I will catch up soon.
Joining in 21 Secrets!! Should be fun! Not too proud of my duck, so you probably won't see it here
unless it has a major re-do; I'll keep playing. It is so pretty and green outside; the birds have been singing
in high pitch. My neighbor has been working in her yard, so I get to enjoy all of her efforts as I sit in my studio. Thanks Rose!
