A friend wanted some earrings to go with her necklace.
She is letting her hair grow, and wanted them a little longer.
I like the way these turned out. I was careful not to make them too heavy.

Rollin along!

It was fun going to lunch in my friend's big caddy;
celebrating birthdays.
I am recovering from my "cat" allergy. Kept me down for
a week. Now it's back to the jewelry projects.

Going slow

This is going slow. I do not like working assembly line fashion, so
each piece is being carefully thought out before I put it together.
There are so many things to think about; what size, what length,
what finish etc.  "Missy" is wearing one of her old necklaces, while she waits on a new one.
I got side tracked watching a video on using the Flex Shaft.
FYI   " intro to the FLEX SHAFT" with Travis Ogden is all about his brand
flex shaft, not the Dremel which I have, so being a beginner, I didn't get much out of it.

Jewels everywhere!

I have been anxious to start making jewelry again. Finally decided to
put up a table and get started. I have a lot of goodies to re purpose,
and more coming in! I love putting beautiful things together.
I will post some of my creations in the coming days and weeks.
Right now I have to buckle down and work.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays; I guess because it is full of love and happiness, and giving.
The chocolate covered strawberries and pretty flowers help too.
Fifty some years ago I got an engagement ring on the evening before Valentine's Day
I usually try to make some special valentines, but this year it didn't happen.

My critique group is coming soon; we will have scones and coffee or tea, and of course the chocolate covered strawberries. Bible study here this evening, so it is looking like a good day all around.

Happy Valentine's Day

These look good enough to eat, but they are pretty hard.
Thay are rocks with a message, to use as a paper weight,
or whatever. They are my valentines for some special friends.
I used gesso first, then acrylic paint. I wrote with a Sharpie and then

added Triple Thick to give them shine.

Gelli Prints

Over the weekend I played around with Gelli prints.
Of course I had to make the jello plate first. I had watched a couple of videos
on you-tube first, but oh my goodness, what a mess I made!
Do not try to transport a tray full of jello to your fridge.
It splashed over just enough to get in the fridge, on the floor,
and everywhere in between. I must have missed some instruction
along the way. Anyway, all's well that ends well, and this is what I
produced the first time around. I'm sure I will be playing at this again
to get some more sophisticated prints.
