More flowers

Maybe posting lots of flowers will bring Spring on. I am tired of the freezing temperatures. This is a 20X20 canvas.  Love all the bright colors!

I'm seeing daffodils in my sleep. Hard to take a picture after it is in the frame. I like the top one.

Spring Daffodils

A couple of the daffodils that made the cut. We are getting ready to go to the Daffodil Festival in Camden, Arkansas in March. It is a 2 day festival,with many activities, including a historic home tour, daffodil tour, steak cook-off, art show and sale; we always have a great time. These are 2 of the smaller paintings for the sale;  working on a 1 or 2  larger ones also.

 I was trying out a new pen. Shading was supposed to be pink and purple!!

 What I write or draw in my  journal is usually a reflection of something I have read that morning.

I have been using the art journal "Brave Intuitive Painting" by Flora Bowley, The pages are so bright and happy. I love to write with my dip pen and India ink, but it went right through the page. Had to use my
Foray Stylemark colored pens.

Illustrated Journal

These are a few pages from the illustrated journal I started in December, to see if it was something that I would enjoy doing long term. Every other day I made a page early in the day; something pertinent to the day.
I loved doing this, but life got in the way, as they say. I have a pretty regular routine in the morning, and I found the day was over, before I was.
