A little of this and a little of that

That is what I have been doing, and another week has flown by.
This is the latest necklace I have made. The photo does not show all the sparkle of this piece.
I have also made a couple of safety pin bracelets similar to this one.
Been trying some watercolor again, but that is for another day.
It was 105 degrees here today, so must go get cool.

The other day I was making some "beach bracelets" like we made when we went to the beach on retreat.
I love my little bits and pieces of fabric and lace. Decided to cover a container to put my.........
lemonade in.  ;>)   Friend Karen gave me the silk flower; we love to trade goodies.

Father's Day

There really should be more than one day a year to honor the fathers. They are so special, and sometimes don't get the credit they deserve. The father of our children sits in his favorite chair, on his favorite porch, with his cigar and his new walking stick, for those long treks in the woods. The walking stick was made by my friend, and artist, Danica Alsobrook. You can see her beautiful flutes on her Face Book page; her work is amazing.  Tom's walking stick has a compass on the top, and it is also a flute. If he ever gets lost again, he can entertain himself until he is found.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's!

Brave Intuitive Painting

Flora Bowley's book "Brave Intuitive Painting" is filled with wonderful ideas
to bring out the "real you". She says "let go", be bold, and unfold".
Well, I did just that the other day, and what I painted kinda scared me!
I really loved the process though; I love making the shapes and painting inside them many times
with different colors.
The poppies look a little more "normal", but they are still very bright, unlike the way I
usually paint. These are huge for me; not quite sure they will fit under my bed ! :>)
(Tongue in cheek).

No time for creating because I have been traveling once again.
We attended a wonderful graduation party for our grandson.

We are so proud of Jack. He is all ready to be a "dawg" next year at
the University of Georgia. It is so fun to see these nice young men and women
enjoying themselves. They were so excited and full of plans for the future.

I am anxious to get back in the studio and see what can be created.
