These are a few of the abstract pieces I have been working on since last week. I poured acrylic, and it was quite a mess, but fun. Forgot to take pictures. I practiced on a piece of card board covered with Gesso (the blue one), then went on to canvas. I may not be finished, and that is the fun of abstract. Stop by Julie's site and see what is going on today. It is show and tell time.

Swingin' !!!
Just another beautiful day in Georgetown, Texas!
The hammock was a Christmas present from our son and daughter-in-law. You can see our bottle tree in the background, and the bird feeder. That large "shield" below the feeder is to keep the squirrels out of the food. It works most of the time; fun to watch the squirrels do the pole dance, trying to get up the pole. Usually it is so slickly they slide right back down. The weather has been gorgeous for about a week, but is not going to last.

WOYWW
I am in my abstract mood; reading about color and moods.
This book is a good one, although I am taking a class at the Art Center.
It is called Pouring with Acrylics. Sue Nosler Gray is the instructor.
I will be posting some of my creations soon.
On my desk today is this wonderful book; a flask I am embellishing for a friend.
and the "TRUST" jar that found me in the resale shop. My word for this year!
Go over to Julie's sit
e and see what is going on.

Be My Valentine
Our celebration started yesterday with the anniversary of our engagement, 54 1/2 years ago! I am so lucky to be married to my best friend; I thank the Lord every day. We spent the day making cupcakes and chocolate covered spoons for our wonderful neighbors. Last night we splurged and had a steak on the grill. The weather had warmed up, and it was wonderful.
These were my surprise from the postman! Had to jump right in and taste them; they are yummy! Have a great Valentine's Day and thank you for visiting my blog.

WOYWW
Here it is Wednesday again, when we get to visit Julie's site and see what everyone is making.
I got started making cards, and I couldn't quit. Ended up with 60 cards! That should be enough to last through the year.
I used some zentangle squares that I had made previously, and added some papers to coordinate with them.
The shell envelope on the right, is made from an old calendar page. Those beautiful pictures are just too pretty to get rid of. I made a card to go inside, and I will use it for a very special birthday at the end of the month. Some of the cards have small watercolors on the front, and of course I used some Citra-Solve papers. Hopefully the cold weather is just about gone and we will be able to get outside. The cards were a good project while it was so cold.

WOYWW
Better late than never! Here I am on Wednesday to show you what I have been up to. A lot of the people on Julie's site have been making Valentines. Mine are finished, but now I have to take out a loan so that I can mail them! Stamps have gone up again!
I have been very busy, but not at my desk. My Red Hat friends got together yesterday and made a tie/scarf thingy. We used one of our hubby's skinny ties from years past; just tied ribbons, sari pieces, yarns, and whatever went together color -wise, down the tie. It is mostly for looks, as it certainly won't keep you warm.
Since my desk is bare right now, I thought you might enjoy seeing this, so you and I can join in the fun.
